Privacy Policy

Corazón is an app for memorizing portions of the Bahá'í writings. It is built to run entirely on your device. We do not run servers, we do not have accounts, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell any of your information. This policy explains that in plain terms.

The short version

• No tracking. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind in this app.
• Your voice stays on your device. When you recite, the microphone audio is processed on your device to follow along with the text. It is never recorded to a file, never uploaded, and is discarded as you go.
• Your practice stays on your device. The passages you add, your progress, and your practice history are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else.
• No account, no sign-in. You can use the entire app without giving us any personal information.

Information we collect

None. Corazón does not collect personal information. We have no servers and no database that holds anything about you. Because nothing leaves your device, there is nothing for us to see, store, or share.

Microphone and speech recognition

To let you recite aloud and have the app follow along, Corazón asks for two permissions:

• Microphone access — to listen while you recite.
• Speech recognition — to match what you say against the passage you are learning.

Both are handled on your device using Apple's on-device speech features. The audio is used in the moment to match your recitation against text the app already knows, and is then discarded. It is not saved, and it does not leave your device. If speech recognition is ever unavailable, the app falls back to a simple "I got it / I stumbled" tap — your practice is never blocked.

You can revoke either permission at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Corazón. Recitation matching will stop working, but the rest of the app will continue to function.

Information stored on your device

The app keeps the following on your device only, so that it works offline and remembers your progress:

• Passages you choose to practice or add yourself.
• Your memorization progress and review schedule.
• Your practice history (when you practiced and how it went).
• Your settings, such as reminder time and haptics.

This data lives in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting the app removes it. We never receive a copy.

Reminders

If you turn on the optional daily reminder, the notification is scheduled locally by iOS on your device. We are not involved and receive no information about it.

Data sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information, because we do not have it. No data is sent to us or to any third party.

Children's privacy

Corazón does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at the same location. Because the app does not contact any server, the in-app copy is updated when the app itself is updated.
